Rethinking Cloud Computing – For the Orbit of Tomorrow
In the DARKSOL project, Cyberus Technology, TU Dresden, and D3TN GmbH are shaping the future of space-based cloud infrastructures — autonomous, resilient, and ready for the unique challenges of space.

DARKSOL: Architecting Space Clouds for the Future

In the DARKSOL project, Cyberus Technology is collaborating with TU Dresden and D3TN GmbH to pioneer new architectures for space cloud operations and lifecycle management.

DARKSOL explores how cloud-based services can be extended into space environments using Delay- and Disruption-Tolerant Networking (DTN) technologies, enabling robust and efficient data management across satellites and other space-based platforms.
Cyberus Technology contributes expertise in secure system architectures, virtualization, and reliable software infrastructures to help build flexible and resilient space cloud ecosystems. By addressing the unique challenges of space — such as high-latency communication, disrupted connections, and autonomous system management — DARKSOL is laying the groundwork for the next generation of secure, distributed computing beyond Earth.

Through DARKSOL, we are helping to redefine what is possible in cloud computing — expanding from terrestrial networks to space-based, autonomous, and disruption-resilient digital ecosystems.
